Taking their name from New York's Greenwich Village, itself the epicentre for all things disco in the mid-seventies the group exploded from the underground gay scene into the mainstream in a matter of months as a Police Officer, a Native American, a Cowboy, a Biker, a Construction Worker and a G.I. took over the clubs, charts and televisions of the world. The ultimate party band, Village People, defines the decadence and flamboyance of the disco. Their back catalogue of anthems include San Francisco I Love You, I Am What I Am, Macho Man, In the Navy, Go West and of course Y.M.C.A.
The group is otherwise generally available for private and corporate events throughout the year.
